FORTY-NINTH CLINICAL CONFERENCE IN PEDIATRIC ANESTHESIOLOGY

This is the oldest pediatric anesthesia conference in the United States and continues to host national and international leaders in pediatric anesthesiology. The three days are designed to not only provide lectures, but also practical advice for practicing pediatric anesthesiology and numerous opportunities to discuss practice issues with the nationally recognized experts and the faculty members of the University of Southern California’s Department of Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. All in an exciting and congenial location.

Caring for children, training anesthesiologists and preparing practitioners of pediatric anesthesiology have been the role of this Division for over 50 years. We provide care for children of all ages who have a wide range of medical conditions – from fragile newborns and babies with surgical emergencies to children with birth defects and life-threatening diseases. Our faculty also trains approximately 120 Residents annually from throughout Southern California, as well as Student Registered Nurse Anesthetist (SRNA) trainees. CHLA has a Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship that is fully accredited and is under the direction of Drs. Randall Wetzel and Laura Hastings.
